Center for Nursing Excellence

We were thrilled to be a part of this project: a simulation lab for the training/continuing education of nurses and nursing students, 90% of whom will go on to work in Wisconsin. The rooms were set up to mimic a real hospital environment, complete with specialized mannequins and computer technology that immerses students in real-time learning, allowing them to practice patient assessments, communications, and other real-life scenarios. This lab ⁠— owned and operated by Meriter Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, and Edgewood College ⁠— will undoubtedly serve many current and future nurses as they learn the skills necessary to work in our state's hospitals and clinics.
