Humbucker Apartments

We enjoy the challenges that come with building apartments in downtown Madison's tight quarters, and this project was no exception. For the Humbucker Apartments, conveniently located near many campus destinations and popular among student renters, we built 75 apartment units across nine floors, as well as a below-grade parking structure. Working against the clock, we used precast concrete walls and floors to finish the building in time for students to move in prior to the start of school. Fun fact: "Humbucker" was supposed to be a placeholder name ⁠— one the Architect thought up when he was playing the guitar one night. Needless to say, the name stuck!
