Gary Boehnen

Gary likes to joke that his lunchbox is older than Ideal’s youngest employees (“They just don’t make quality products like it anymore!) But all joking aside, Gary — one of Ideal’s original superintendents — is a highly skilled craftsman possessing the type of knowledge that comes from years of experience and can’t be taught in a classroom. Lucky for Ideal, Gary is also a skillful teacher, eager to bestow his wisdom on newer carpenters in the field. When he’s not at work, Gary enjoys gardening and canning his crop to last through Wisconsin’s long winters. His bucket list dream of visiting Hawaii came true in 2018 when he spent two weeks visiting several of its islands as part of a “Vacation Reward” trip in thanks for his many years of service at Ideal.
