We’re excited to have two interns join the Ideal Builders team this summer. They bring great energy, a can-do attitude, and a willingness to pitch in.
Calvin Rahn
OFFICE Intern
As an incoming senior studying Mechanical Engineering at UW–Madison, Calvin brings a unique perspective to the field—blending technical knowledge with a growing passion for the construction industry.
After joining UW’s Construction Club and taking a few construction-focused courses, Calvin discovered that what really draws him in isn’t just the scale of the projects—it’s the people. He enjoys the day-to-day connection with teams and seeing a project evolve from pre-construction all the way through to the finishing touches.
Outside of work, you’ll find Calvin playing soccer with friends, spinning vinyl records, or relaxing with a good movie. This summer, Calvin is eager to support project managers and engineers—gaining firsthand experience with the construction process and learning how great builds come together, step by step. With an analytical mindset and a strong interest in collaboration, he’s ready to dive into the details and grow through real-world experience here at Ideal.
Nolan Wallace
OFFICE Intern
Originally from Waunakee Wisconsin, Nolan joins us from Eastern Illinois University, where he’s currently a junior studying Construction Management—and a member of the swim team. Outside of work when he’s not in the pool, the classroom, or on the jobsite, you’ll likely find him lifting weights, golfing, or cheering for the Milwaukee Brewers.
What drew Nolan to construction? The lasting impact. Nolan’s excited by the idea of driving past a building years from now and thinking, “I helped build that.” That passion for building something meaningful is exactly what makes him a great fit for Ideal Builders.
This summer, Nolan is eager to learn as much as he can—diving into real-world projects, gaining confidence with industry software, and seeing firsthand how challenges are tackled in the field. With curiosity, drive, and a team-first mindset, he’s ready to make the most of his experience with us at Ideal.
