But now… we need you: an estimator ready to assist in delivering each project on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standard possible.
This person is: detail-oriented with a honed ability to multi-task while still delivering top-notch work.
Responsibilities include:
• Analyzing requirement documents and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
• Work with the team to develop conceptual estimates with minimal information
• Prepare weekly bid calendar and ensures timely completion of estimates
• Attend pre-construction meetings with project management staff
• Attend bid meetings and develop and execute bid strategy
• Assemble and distribute bid packages
• Execute quantity surveys of construction documents
• Prepare estimates in Excel
• Estimate self-performed work
• Obtain budgeting/bids for materials
• Obtain budgeting/bids from subcontractors
• Use bid data to prepare detailed bid comparisons
• Produce owner deliverables when required
• Review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy
• Work with project managers to gather and catalog productivity and cost history information
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of demonstrated success estimating in the Commercial Building Construction field
• Design-build and conceptual estimating experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of construction estimating concepts
• Skilled in reading and interpreting plans and specifications
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional time management skills
