Kayla and Bart bring valuable experience, a team-first mindset, and a passion for building that fits well with our values. Their curiosity, energy, and focus on quality make them great additions to the team.
Kayla Keehan
Senior Project Engineer
Kayla joins Ideal Builders as a Senior Project Engineer. Her path to construction began with a switch from psychology to construction management—guided by a growing interest in the field and her family’s connection to the industry, including her dad, who is also part of the Ideal team.
She brings prior experience in construction and enjoys seeing projects come together from start to finish. Kayla’s thoughtful, collaborative approach helps support smooth execution and aligns well with our culture of teamwork and craftsmanship.
Outside of work, Kayla enjoys spending time with her husband Austin and their two Australian Shepherds, Jax and Simon. She also enjoys reading, embroidery, and has recently taken up yoga.
Bart Lechner
Estimator
Bart Lechner joins us as an Estimator with a wide-ranging background that includes hands-on construction experience, military service, and time in other industries—all of which have shaped his practical and focused approach.
Bart got his start in construction working summers for a general contractor during high school. After time spent exploring other fields, he returned to construction and hasn’t looked back. He enjoys helping clients bring ideas to life and takes pride in delivering spaces tailored to their needs.
Outside of work, Bart has an appreciation for the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, foraging, gardening, cooking, and preserving food—all hobbies he now shares with his wife and kids. Bart also enjoys traveling and loves to play tennis, basketball, snowboard, and golf, when time allows of course.
