Humbucker Apartments is conveniently located near many campus destinations and is popular among student renters. This project includes 75 apartment units across nine floors and a below-grade parking structure. Working against the clock, we used precast concrete walls and floors to finish the building in time for students to move in prior to the start of school. Fun fact: “Humbucker” was supposed to be a placeholder name — one the Architect thought up when he was playing the guitar one night. Needless to say, the name stuck!
