Luke Blosch

Project Engineer

Luke caught the construction bug in college when a friend’s dad offered him a surveying internship after noticing his interest in Civil Engineering. That’s how Luke realized all of the fun happens on the contracting side of building projects! Luke went on to graduate from UW-Platteville with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction Management. His favorite thing about construction is the opportunity for thousands of people to enjoy the results of their work. The public might not always consider the effort that went into a building, but that can’t stop them from admiring it and reaping its benefits. Outside of work, Luke loves to ski, hike, and boat. On his bucket list? Exploring the Lord of the Rings set in New Zealand and drinking Guinness at the St. James’s Gate brewery.

Jason Bollig

President and CEO

At Ideal Builders, Jason divides his time between client relations, preconstruction, and operations — fully living out his childhood dream of becoming a builder like his grandfather before him. With 20+ years of industry experience, Jason loves construction and Ideal Builders in particular, whose culture he describes as “fun” and “dedicated.” Raised locally, Jason ("JB") is a committed volunteer with Hard Hats with Heart, helping the nonprofit host its annual fundraising event. A great day out of the office would include a game of golf, dinner with his wife, and an Avengers movie with his two sons.

Tim Cleary

Executive Vice President

Tim’s favorite aspect of his job (and the reason he got into construction): “Creating something that will last… it’s extremely rewarding.” As Executive Vice President at Ideal, Tim or “TC” (an old baseball nickname) spends his days working on a “little bit of everything,” including new projects, client and employee relationships, and corporate leadership. Ultimately, Tim strives to make Ideal Builders — whose culture he describes as “fun, caring, and resourceful” — the best organization it can be. Outside of work, Tim loves spending time with his wife and four sons and traveling (on his bucket list: golfing in Ireland). An active member of the Madison community, he also coaches youth sports and serves as the Advisory Board Chair for the Carbone Cancer Center, as well as on the board for Smart Growth of Greater Madison.

Carmine DeLisio

Carmine brings more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry to Ideal Builders. He revels in the challenge of delivering a one-of-a-kind product and works closely with our project management team to create estimates and budgets that help keep projects on budget. A recent transplant to Wisconsin, he enjoys the outdoors, cooking and making beer with his son, flying, woodworking, and drawing.

BJ Galle

BJ joined the Ideal team fresh out of college (UW-Platteville). Since then, he’s climbed the ranks and now serves as Ideal’s Vice President. In his role, BJ divides his time between client and construction management; he also leads the project managers and engineers. When BJ’s not putting out fires at work, he’s putting out literal fires as a volunteer firefighter in his hometown, where he serves as Assistant Fire Chief. His more relaxing hobbies include spending time at his kids’ baseball games and grilling/smoking different meats on his deck. Like a true builder, BJ enjoys putting on his tool belt; he built his house and has helped on various charitable builds throughout the Madison area.

Wendy Goddard

Administrative Assistant

While Wendy entered the construction industry by chance (she had formerly worked in insurance), she now considers it home — most likely in part due to Ideal’s culture of “generosity and service,” which is also characterized by “great relationships.” Wendy, nicknamed “the Queen” on account of her British origins, finds her job at Ideal rewarding and challenging, and revels in helping others. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, ideally with friends and family by her side. On her bucket list is traveling to a far away country.

Frank Gorham

Senior Project Manager

Frank’s priority as a Senior Project Manager is creating a positive atmosphere on his projects by treating people respectfully, being an active listener, and going the extra mile for his teammates. His favorite part of the job is the relationships that form between preconstruction and closeout, as his team turns a napkin sketch into something that improves countless lives. A Massachusetts native, Frank is an avid Boston sports fan and Tom Brady supporter. He found his way to the Midwest by attending Marquette University, where he studied Construction Engineering; Frank still attends as many Marquette basketball games as he can. After graduation, he worked in more than ten different states building Apple Stores and Topgolf franchises before finally returning to Wisconsin. When he’s not on the clock, you can find Frank chasing his two boys around, enjoying the outdoors with friends and family, or playing fantasy sports.

John Hentrich

Project Manager

John officially entered the construction business the summer before college, when he worked for a roofing company. Now, as Project Manager at Ideal, John works directly with clients, architects, superintendents and subcontractors to complete any size project he is tasked with. His day-to-day includes constant communication between all parties, jobsite visits, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily operations to make sure his projects are running smoothly. When he’s not at work, John enjoys spending time with his family and woodworking. John is enjoying the challenges of remodeling a house while living in it. He is also a volunteer firefighter with his local department. Top on John’s bucket list is a trip to Ireland.

Nicole Kollross

Office Manager

Nicole joined Ideal Builders after 22 years in law enforcement as a Court Officer. Nicole is a positive and calming presence amid busy projects and is inspired by the creative process and even more so by the relationship-building necessary for success. She truly enjoys assisting in making dreams become reality. When she’s not getting things done, Nicole enjoys traveling the world. Recent adventures include trips to Greece, France, Belize, Spain, and Portugal. Next on the docket? Trips to Germany and Peru.

Woody Kopplin

Director of Field Operations

Woody has been “Woody” for 20-some odd years, earning the nickname at a previous employer on account of there being two “Kevins.” Woody got into construction because he was looking for a challenge and wanted to work with his hands… plus, he wanted to avoid college at all costs. As Ideal’s Director of Field Operations, Woody plays a supporting role for field and office staff, making sure his team has what they need to succeed and coaching them to reach their full potential. Woody describes Ideal’s culture as “trustworthy, collaborative, and awesome.” Outside of work, Woody likes to spend time with his family (who he hopes to soon bring to Disney World), and ride around in his Jeep. Woody also enjoys home improvement projects (like any former woodworker might) and leads a teen group at his family’s church.

Jason Koziar

Senior Project Manager

As Senior Project Manager at Ideal, Jason is responsible for project management (as his title might suggest) in addition to initial project estimates and schedules. Jason, who followed in his grandfather’s footsteps by pursuing a career in engineering and construction, has managed projects across a range of industries, including commercial, healthcare, retail, institutional, and industrial. In his role, Jason works with a broad team of developers, owners, designers, tenants, tradesmen, and subcontractors. It comes as no surprise, then, that Jason uses the words “partnership” and “family” to describe Ideal’s culture. Speaking of family — that’s who you’ll find Jason spending time with when he’s not at work. Jason enjoys going up north and spending time at the cabin, on the lake, and hunting with his kids: three boys who also play football, basketball, baseball, and tennis. On his bucket list? Taking his family even farther up north — to Alaska — on a summer road trip.

Zach Krause

Senior Project Engineer

Zach’s typical day as a Project Engineer includes reviewing shop drawings, coordinating with subcontractors, assisting with scheduling and estimating, and hopefully creating a smile or two. He loves his job because of the new things he gets to learn and the people he gets to work with — whether he’s part of post-tension concrete pour or back at the office creating subcontracts, work always keeps him on his toes! In his free time, Zach loves spending time outdoors with family and friends and trading stocks. He hopes to travel the world someday.

Heather Lewellen

Senior Accountant

Believe it or not, Ideal’s Senior Accountant, Heather has been in the construction business since the ripe old age of 14, when she worked for her grandfather’s small business. “I’m a believer in the phrase ‘love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life,’” says Heather. “I believe the ties back to my family roots are what makes it so easy to love the industry I ‘work’ in.” As Senior Accountant, Heather is responsible for entering and paying bills; however, she also spends much of her time working with others to make sure the administrative side of Ideal runs smoothly, facilitating processes for both customers and vendors. At home, Heather enjoys spending time outside, hiking or fishing with her husband. True to her builder roots, she also loves a good home renovation project. On her bucket list? Visiting another country to explore the culture.

Dave Martin

As a child, Dave dreamed of becoming a carpenter. Now, 20+ years into his career in the construction industry, his dreams have certainly come true. At Ideal Builders, Dave focuses on planning and problem-solving with members of his office and field teams. Laughter is a common occurrence and indicative of Ideal’s culture, which Dave describes as “youthful” and “friendly.” (Coincidentally, these are words the Ideal staff would use to describe Dave himself.) When he’s not at work, Dave is busy keeping up with his wife and their five energetic children. If he’s not kicking a soccer ball, drawing, playing with his dog Hobbes, or boating, Dave is likely tinkering on a project at home while listening to blues guitar.

Beth Vander Meulen

Marketing Director

Beth has always enjoyed the construction industry—"It's a way of being involved in the community and I find it very fulfilling." As the Marketing Director her goal is to provide a quality client experience while supporting the company’s vision and showcasing Ideal Builders’ great culture. Beth works closely with our trusted partners to maintain a consistent message through our branding, marketing, and media presence. Outside of work, Beth enjoys working on home projects and spending time with her husband and two sons.

Dylan Thielmann

Project Engineer

From a young age, Dylan was fascinated by massive building projects and the machinery that made them possible. By the time he could enroll in shop class, Dylan knew construction was his calling. Seeing a site transform from a grass lot to a beautiful new building as raw materials come together is endlessly satisfying to him. Dylan spends his spare time watching sports (anything except tennis), relaxing by the lake, hunting, or just hanging out with friends and family. He’d love to visit Nashville and Las Vegas, but his biggest travel dream is an elk-hunting trip out west. On a typical workday, Dylan helps PMs with submittal review, client meetings, budgets, executing subcontracts, change orders, POs, and provides sups with any critical information they need.

Joe Willems

As Ideal’s CFO, Joe’s day-in-the-life involves oversight of all financial matters related to company operations. He oversees client invoicing, cash management, budgeting, and future financial planning. When he’s not leading the Ideal charge on all things financial, Joe likes to unwind by spending time with his family, exercising, and traveling (top on his travel bucket list is a family vacation to Italy). Joe is also a sports fanatic who knows all the stats, especially when it comes to Brewers baseball.

Seth Williams

Project Manager

Seth has always had a fascination with buildings and architectural details, and after watching his older brothers enter the construction industry, he decided to do so himself. As a Project Manager at Ideal, Seth’s days are fast-paced and challenging as he works to obtain, evaluate, coordinate, and distribute the plans and specifications needed to construct various projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. Seth loves Ideal. In fact, one of the words he uses to describe Ideal’s culture is “family.” But when he’s not at work, he has a pretty good time too, whether he’s watching Badger football and Brewers baseball or hiking/kayaking in Wisconsin’s great outdoors. On his bucket list? Attending a game at every MLB stadium.
