PROJECT OVERVIEW
Badger Prairie Needs Network (BPNN) is one of the busiest food pantries in Dane County. A much-needed expansion for more cold storage space led to a 3,500-square-foot addition to their existing building. The new space includes a loading dock, receiving area, walk-in cooler and freezer, and an exterior drive-up canopy. The new loading dock and receiving area has a built-in floor scale so product can be weighed as soon as it comes off the truck. The cooler and freezer are similar to what one would find in a grocery store setting — BPNN volunteers can fill it from the back, and patrons grab products from the front. The exterior canopy was the project’s final piece and protects volunteers and patrons during rain and snow.
Ideal’s team is also fantastic and fun to work with – during planning, budget development, and throughout the build – no drama, friendly, respectful, and reliable. Ten stars on a 5-point scale.
