PROJECT OVERVIEW
We were honored to work on a major addition and interior renovation project for Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS), Dane County’s domestic violence shelter since 1977. The facility offers a wide array of crisis intervention and community education/prevention programs, including a 24-hour help line, programming for children from violent homes, legal advocacy, and more. Needless to say, we became personally invested in this project; lives literally depended on its successful execution. This project centered on two main areas at DAIS: an office area for counseling and corporate staff and a residential area for client living quarters. As part of the project, we installed a security system around the building to ensure client safety.
Ideal Builders has been a foundational supporter of DAIS, literally. From building our new facility on Fordem Avenue to their generous support in the years since, DAIS wouldn’t be able to do what we do without Ideal Builders’ generosity.
