New Sustainable training Facility | Plain, WI

PROJECT OVERVIEW

We were the successful bidder for the Village of Plain to construct a new, sustainable building for its Green Technology Training and Enterprise Center, and we were up for the challenge. We had a tight timeline — just five months — to complete this regional facility, which provides workforce training in green building/green energy trades to current and recent high schoolers, entry-level workers, displaced or under-trained workers, and corporate employees. With the Village of Plain’s sustainability goals in mind, we used insulated panels, a photovoltaic generation system, a geothermal HVAC system with natural ventilation features, and a green roof.
